while Lynn was visiting we had wine every night and Phil and Lynn like a real deep full bodied red I'm a light weight so If your like me try this wine out I loved it.
I have to share though one night I had been working on getting dinner ready and visiting with Lynn when I went to put dinner in the oven a quiche in a 9-13 pan when I flipped it upside down in the hot oven it oozed out everywhere! I realized I can't cook,talk and drink wine at the same time!!! we had a good laugh and ate pancakes..

Love This Cookbook...

the cookbook is from the 1930's and was originaly done in french and they have recently translated it to English

This cookbook was on Anthropologie for $49 and then Missed it at Costco for$17

all the recipes are 5-6 ingredients lovely illustrations but the best part is there is a lovely poster that is the jacket cover. It's vintage French I'm going to frame mine in the kitchen!!

A Trip I'd Like To Take....

My Grandpa and Grandma took a trip to Norway and Sweden in 1961.

This was a journal of their trip and all of their relatives signed it but I love the drawings the best.
How sweet is this little cabin. This is a drawing a relative drew for my grandpa of his homestead cabin in Norway.

I had so many great cups of coffee and conversations with Lynn's visit who knew we had so much in common, I can't believe how stressed I'd been over this visit...

The shopping was my favorite, she's so much fun to dress and Phil got to learn things about his family. Facts he didn't know like he's part Norwegian and English.
