These baskets are lovely, so unusual I have never seen wicker baskets painted...so intricate...is this something particular to Alaska?
I love enamelware and TINS! I have quite a collection...oh and anything RED, in particular clogs and bags HEHEHE!

I have just been ooohing and aaahing over the photo's you took during the weekend. That view you have is amazing. While I sit in my appartment in town you have all that space and those mountains around you. It really is amazing!
Like you I collect baskets as well, but I also collect china. Especially romantic china with flowers or polka dots.

Those baskets are sweet - don't think I've ever seen them before. Are they gypsy baskets - like painted tinware? I used to collect honey pots, but now I'm selling them on :)
Meant to comment re your beautiful photos from yesterday`s post...but I got confused! I collect a lot of grief, particularly when my Mother comes to call - I`m suffering from it now. Love those baskets. x
The baskets are really pretty, I can see why you like collecting them. I seem to collect lots of pieces of furniture that I insist I will paint and do up, although a lot of it is cluttering up my poor garage... Em x
I really like your baskets. You could say i collect anything vintage from the 50's and 60's well anything that talks to me and says please take me home you know you want to. But if i think about it its 50's drinking glasses, 50's frosted glass wear and vintage evening bags ;-)) dee x
I´m from germany and collect many things too. I have never seen baskets like this, they are really adorable. Because I love old things, I collect old porcelain and porcelain cake spoons with floral decor, old metal tins with floral decor, old enamelware, books, brooches from the fifties, pastel-coloured MES from the fifties and some pretty things more. I think that beautiful collections make a home warm and cozy.
Those painted baskets are great, I have never come across any like that. I collect vintage sheets and pillow cases but have had a bit of trouble finding any good ones lately...Oh egg cups too and so many more things.

Beautiful collection ;o) When I was a little girl I collected pencils, after that I collected moose (but the most people here don't know the different between a moose and a reindeer..so I stop the collection because I got to much reindeers *smile*).. Oh don't get me started on baskets, i collect Babushka dolls, they can be contained in small places. Great basket collection, the biggest & most amazing one i have is a huge (like 4' diametre) old Navy basket i picked up for $5 at Revolve, ahhhh, love Posie
I was just researching collections the other day! I love them when they are decorated well. Vintage cameras, antique postcards, and skeleton keys were among my fav!
I collect many things and one of them is these painted baskets.
I have them all over the house and these 3 are my favorites.
