The Bed.....no more floor

The bed It's so beautiful...
This is the first antique wood bed I have ever bought,
I have always loved the old cast iron metal beds...but
Change is good.
I'm hoping that we don't crash to the floor
at least for 12 years.
may our old bed rest in peace!

it's full of such lovely details

I can't wait till morning
for my first
cup of coffee.
I now reach the nightstand again..

The wait is over..

I just LOVE IT... it only took me 3 months to pick it up..

THANK YOU
MARY

Its so comfy and it looks great with my vintage love seat.
I will take a better picture when I get done rearranging the living room...

Easter joy Day

Today is the day,
I finally get to sleep in a bed,
remember when my antique bed
broke in the middle of the night.
I pick up my new antique bed today...
and drum roll...
my VINTAGE COUCH.
THE KIDS ARE EXCITED
my poor almost 6' 14yr old
has been stuck with a love seat
and 2 chairs in the living room.
since I sold our down filled other love seat
in my garage sale this summer for $150
WHAT was I thinking,
I have heard the fighting for the prize seating
ever since.
tonight I shall have peace...
did I mention were doing taxes today...
It might be a glass of wine night!

My Fair Lady

These came in the mail...
they are just lovely..

and these little accessories

look at the little shoes and umbrella

they are so cute and handmade on top of it,
but the best is they fit Mimi's
American Girl dolls
these vintage costumes would have been $$$$
Now I don't know If I should let Mimi
Play with them!
would you?

Mad Men

I am a little slow when it comes to t.v. shows.
I catch on to a good thing a few years late.
Like my dear Monk
Mad Men
is my latest
my sister would be watching this last
year and if I called during the show .
disconnect!
WOW
Now I know
why...

Timeless treasures

Vanity Fair
My favorite movie of all time....
before I was married and had 3 whiny,I mean lovely kids..
I would always imagine what it would be like to live in New York
during this time era the crime rate would have been low..

I love the way they decorated.
Not to mention the way they dressed.
I love that women wore dresses and men wore ties and sport coats..

Just look at that fridge and lamp.

The windows, did I mention the windows....

My Funky Twist

eco stitcher
I have decided to put a new twist on my favorite spring coat..
I love this vintage shirt, It's been in the store since last spring and I have always wanted it to fit but its a tiny one......

So I had the Idea of giving my lovely old neutral a little flare,

with maybe a little Rick rack and the vintage Asian fabric in a ruffle down the front....

Angie (seamstress) may think I'm crazy but I can't wait...

any other Ideas to add a little flare?

My light......

I sold my Swedish light to a friend
and I know I can always go visit it
but I realize I get
attached to my
treasures.
not good
for a shop owner
those who know
me
know that
I have this problem...
I can't wait to see what I find to replace it...
there is a new light at the end of the tunnel!

Perfect Pink

sourceAlign Center

What is it with pink...
I'm finding I'm adding more of this color all through the house!!
maybe because I have Mimi now..
where I use to be overrun by men so I did a lot of red...
I love that stove and couch...BUT
that car is out of this world!

wool flowers and crochet treasure

Vicki crocheted this round and we had it on the table...
but when I saw my rocker.
I think it just took it up a notch .

The wool felted flowers was our other craft
and while I was getting lunch on.
look at how fast Shereen and Vicki are
they just whipped these out.
they look so cute on my pillows.
that my mom made for me.
again guilt, for all their lovely gifts...

and my little stinker helped too...

1/2 a craft

Craft day was yesterday and with having a dentist appointment at 9am.
we got a late start so will finish next week.
I thought I'd let you guess what its going to be!!!!

A little Scandinavian

whenever I find a vintage Swedish book I
have to have it..

This sweet picture hung in my Grandparents home and
although we didn't visit often
I always remembered it..

and when they passed away no one took it.
so when we found it in a gift store
we snatched up everyone they had..

True Love....
