Bits and Pieces....Upside Down

This whole post is upside Down
here are the Caribou hills/mountains
In my backyard.

Yesterday after school
we celebrated her birthday.
It was so much fun and girls
wow, so much louder than a boys party!

Getting so much wonderful use from this
cupcake stand.

I used one of those vintage sheets for the
tablecloth with a white topper.
It turned out sweet!
for me the table setting
is always the most fun part of the party.

the Mom's stayed for the party to
which was nice.

Well I had high hopes for my vintage sheet project but
lets just say it looked dreadful
like a do it yourself project gone wrong.
so at 10 o'clock the other night sweet Phil
helped me take it down.
I wanted to use it like a panel of wall paper.
But on Mimi's bed it looks perfect!

My thrift bike this summer which I rode once.

(it has a flat tire)
Looks good in Fall colors.

After

Before

these pictures ended up in the wrong order.

but we cut out all the overgrown Spruce trees

and now we can see.

the Caribou Hills are behind us .

Look at these lovely

thick down filled pillows I got at

Fred Meyer

on clearance for $7

They are so pretty!

After the party last night Mimi
went on her first sleepover
and Daddy had the phone
right by the bed in case he had to go pick her up.
she made it.

Cory has 3 boys that slept over for his party
last night and Jeremy was at a
friends house.
It feels weird to have your kids all over!

Have a great weekend!

P.s. my Mom goes home tomorrow
I've enjoyed her but she's ready to go home to my
Dad and her own bed.

(no more false teeth cup laying around, HOORAY)

ONE MORE THING
THEY ARE PREDICTING
SNOW!
for us in Alaska tomorrow !
I'm not ready!

  1. I have made that same mistake on the order of the photos more times than I care to mention. Love what you did in the grove of trees, so nice that you can now enjoy your beautiful mountains.

It is so nice to hear that your mom has done so well, with a wonderful daughter like you it is no wonder.

    Have a great weekend.

  2. Wow things have certainly been busy at your place! The party table & cakes look lovely, I bet everyone had fun! My big boy went on his 1st sleepover this week too, boy was it a nerve-racking experience for me..and all the things I hoped wouldn't happen, did! Never mind, I'm sure we'll be more prepared next time...Your view is quite amazing, you're very lucky. And I love your thrift bike, perfect! my search continues...

  3. Wow! You DID do a lot of thinning of trees but what a beautiful view you got.

Mimi's party looks like a success. You and her are like Bean and me with birthdays so close together. Your pillows are really pretty - we all have projects that go bad Heidi, don't worry about it. Blessings, Diane

  4. Happy birthday MiMi, really sweet table decorations & delicious offerings. We often have children distributed around the place, although it never seems to be all 4 at once (& a night off) love Posie
